White House: Tours, Exhibits and Artwork

One of the oldest and most beautiful buildings in the nation's capital, the White House is a living museum of American history. Take a guided tour of the furnishings and artwork, while learning about the house's history and former inhabitants. Constructed between 1792 and 1800, the White House offers a collection of significant art works by American and European artists and craftsmen, including a full-length portrait of George Washington by Gilbert Stuart.
