NMAAHC - A People's Journey, a Nation's StoryThe National Museum of African American History and Culture is the only national museum devoted exclusively to the documentation of African American life, history, and culture. The Museum opened to the public on September 24, 2016, as the 19th and the newest museum of the Smithsonian Institution.
Prices -Timed passes for the public and nonprofit organizations are free of charge. The Museum has implemented a timed pass system to serve as many visitors as possible while maintaining a secure, safe and smooth flow of people into the museum.
Hours -The Museum is open 7-days a week, 364 days a year. Our regular operating hours are from 10:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. The Museum is closed on December 25.
